LPOS made The World Go Round in October 2022

"Familiar songs sung by very proficient singers, a cleverly arranged set, it was all there! The choice of songs was inspired - some I hadn't heard before, others I knew but enjoyed hearing again, and all with a good measure of heart-felt passion. Fun and pathos, it got me in the right emotions! What a wonderful evening!

Councillor Jill Long - Mayor of Littlehampton

"This was a wonderful show, I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Thank you to all involved in this tremendous production"

The World Goes 'Round is a musical revue showcasing the songs of John Kander and Fred Ebb. The revue takes its title from a tune the songwriting duo wrote for Liza Minelli to sing in the film New York, New York (titled "But the World Goes Round"

The show consists of a fantastic, eclectic collection of love songs, torch song and acerbically witty comic numbers, guaranteed to bring a smile and leave you with a song in your heart.

Originally conceived by a creative team of Scott Ellis (Director), Susan Stroman (Choreographer) and David Thompson (Libretto), the first production opened Off-Broadway on the 18th March 1991 at the Westside Theatre and ran for 408 performances, winning the Lucille Lortel award for Outstanding Musical, Drama Desk Award for Oustanding Musical Review and personal accolades for two of the original cast and director.

Following the successful Off-Broadway run, the show was taken on a US National tour and built out to include additional Kander and Ebb songs from lesser known musicals and work-in-progress numbers to grow into the production that is regularly produced around the world.
